Justice Patricia D. Benke honored us as the guest speaker at the 4th Annual Children's Tea. Mother attorney and their children had an opportunity to network, share a traditional English tea, participate in a coloring contest and donate to MAMAS through the silent auction. Attorneys and their families took the opportunity to have their family portrait taken by a professional photographer who captured the event.
Justice Patricia D. Benke
The Honorable Patricia D. Benke, Associate Justice of the Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division One, received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Justice Benke began her legal career as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California and was later appointed to state advisory committees including the Judicial Council for the State of California and Blue Ribbon Committee on Probation and Parole. She has served as a resident faculty member and adjunct professor of law, specializing in appellate writing, criminal law and advanced criminal procedure and currently serves as a core adjunct professor in National University's Department of Business and Management. In 1987, Justice Benke was the first woman appointed to Division One of the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
